Description:

The Vice President, Allied Services leads MedWiz Infusion Services and provides enterprise leadership for cleanroom operations, sterile compounding, and related specialized pharmacy services. The role establishes consistent standards across locations, ensures regulatory and quality requirements are met, leads accreditation and service-expansion initiatives, and develops the people, processes, and infrastructure needed to safely grow MedWiz infusion and sterile-compounding capabilities.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Lead Infusion Services and other assigned Allied Services, including strategy, staffing, performance, quality, compliance, and growth.
  • Oversee cleanroom and sterile-compounding operations across MedWiz, including applicable USP standards, environmental monitoring, certification, quality controls, and regulatory readiness.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, training, competency testing, documentation, and operating standards are current, consistent, and appropriately implemented.
  • Lead NABP accreditation/certification efforts and readiness for Board of Pharmacy inspections, audits, and other regulatory reviews.
  • Develop and implement TPN production capabilities at identified locations, including facility, equipment, staffing, training, workflow, and quality requirements.
  • Regularly visit MedWiz locations to assess Infusion and cleanroom operations, identify risks, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Build and lead a centralized Allied Services structure, including the planned alignment of cleanroom pharmacists under this function while maintaining required PIC responsibilities.
  • Monitor regulatory changes, manage key external vendors, and establish performance measures for quality, safety, service, productivity, capacity, and compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Infusion, sterile compounding, TPN, clinical, consulting, and other specialized pharmacy services.
  • Partner with PICs, Pharmacy Operations, Compliance, Licensing, Clinical Services, Facilities, Purchasing, Technology, Human Resources, and executive leadership.
  • Physical/Work Environment: Requires regular travel among MedWiz locations and periodic work within pharmacy, production, and controlled environments, including compliance with applicable cleanroom access, gowning, hygiene, and safety requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, healthcare, life sciences, business, or related field, or equivalent executive-level experience.
  • Recommended minimum of 12–15 years of progressively responsible pharmacy, Infusion, sterile-compounding, healthcare, quality, or regulatory experience, including approximately 7+ years of significant leadership responsibility.
  • Significant multi-site leadership experience in pharmacy or another highly regulated healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile compounding, cleanroom standards, pharmacy compliance, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish enterprise standards, lead senior professionals, manage risk, and drive cross-functional results.
  • Ability to travel regularly among MedWiz locations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PharmD and active pharmacist licensure.
  • Long-term care, institutional, Infusion, specialty, or closed-door pharmacy experience.
  • Experience with USP 797, cleanroom certification, NABP accreditation, pharmacy inspections, and environmental monitoring.
  • Experience launching or expanding TPN operations.
  • Multi-state pharmacy leadership experience.
