Job Description

Lead Campaign Manager, Pharma

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Campaign Manager, Pharma based in United States.

As a Lead Campaign Manager, you will own campaign strategy and execution from initial business objectives through launch, optimization, and retrospective analysis.
You will operate as a senior individual contributor with significant autonomy, making strategic decisions and directing execution across multiple channels and partners.
The role combines integrated campaign planning, performance measurement, stakeholder leadership, and agency management within a regulated life sciences environment.
You will use data and market insights to identify opportunities, optimize campaigns in real time, and turn learnings into stronger future programs.
Working closely with senior marketing leaders, creative teams, agencies, and marketing operations, you will drive alignment without relying on formal authority.
You will also serve as a trusted strategic voice, confidently challenging assumptions and advocating for the right priorities, timelines, and resources.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced marketer who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to make a meaningful impact in oncology and pharmaceutical marketing.

Accountabilities:
  • Own end-to-end campaign strategy for oncology pharmaceutical initiatives, translating business and brand objectives into integrated, multi-channel campaign plans.
  • Direct execution across digital, email, paid media, content, healthcare professional and patient-facing programs, and events, making prioritization and tradeoff decisions as needed.
  • Develop campaign briefs and creative direction in partnership with creative and brand teams, ensuring all assets remain aligned with the overarching strategy.
  • Proactively identify and resolve risks related to timelines, budgets, resources, and campaign performance.
  • Define campaign KPIs and measurement frameworks, continuously monitoring results throughout campaign execution.
  • Analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable optimizations, tests, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Establish a continuous test-and-learn approach and document campaign learnings to strengthen future programs.
  • Present performance results, strategic recommendations, and clear supporting rationale to senior marketing stakeholders.
  • Lead coordination across creative teams, agencies, media partners, and marketing operations, ensuring alignment and effective execution.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships, holding external partners accountable for strategy, quality, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Facilitate decisions when stakeholders have competing priorities rather than simply routing requests or escalating conflicts.
  • Partner with senior marketing leadership as a strategic thought partner, bringing an informed point of view and proactively shaping campaign direction.
  • Professionally challenge strategy, scope, timelines, and prioritization when needed, including when working with senior stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues independently when possible and, when escalation is required, present clear options and recommendations rather than open-ended questions.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in campaign management, marketing strategy, or marketing execution, or 8+ years of relevant experience combined with a master’s degree in marketing or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience owning marketing strategy end to end rather than primarily executing against strategies developed by others.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, oncology, life sciences, or another highly regulated marketing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret and act on performance data using analytics platforms, Power BI, Salesforce, Eloqua, or comparable marketing technology.
  • Ability to move effectively from understanding campaign performance to identifying what should be changed, tested, or prioritized next.
  • Proven experience influencing and managing up with senior stakeholders, including professionally pushing back, setting boundaries, and maintaining a strategic position under pressure.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to align creative, agency, media, and marketing operations partners without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present, defend, and adapt recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Experience working within regulated pharmaceutical marketing environments and familiarity with MLR or medical-legal review processes is strongly preferred.
  • Self-directed, high-ownership approach with strong judgment and the ability to bring structure to a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and establish high standards with agency partners without necessarily having direct management responsibility.

Benefits:

  • Base salary range of $125,000–$145,000 USD for remote U.S. employees, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, and location.
  • Annual performance incentive bonus.
  • Long-term equity awards.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits for eligible employees and dependents.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • 401(k) benefits with company matching.
  • Generous paid time off and company holidays.
  • Pregnancy and baby bonding leave.
  • Fertility and family-forming care benefits.
  • Free testing for employees and their immediate families.
  • Commuter benefits.
  • Additional wellness and work-life benefits.
  • Employee referral program.
  • Remote work environment.
