Job Description
The Developmental Trainer reports directly to the ICF/IID Program shift supervisor. As part of the ICF/IID team, the DT provides direct supervision for consumers in the DT’s assigned group.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Guides consumers in the implementation of the consumers’ individual program plan (IPP).
2. Complete required, daily and monthly documentation in a timely manner.
3. Facilitate consumer participation in community outings and recreational activities.
4. Provides direct supervision of consumers.
5. Assist the consumer with activities of daily living when needed.
6. Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of developmentally disabled persons are always maintained.
7. Other job duties as assigned
Requirements:Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to accurately document consumers’ behaviors/activities
Ability to work with consumers with developmental disabilities
Ability to monitor and record progress/regression of consumers
Basic skills in counseling
Ability to effectively and professionally interact with consumers’ guardians
Ability to effectively communicate with program nurses and QIDP
Ability to successfully complete and pass all required training to include PCM and required department specific training
Ability to drive a van
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to maintain a Professional Attitude.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Provide High school diploma, transcript, GED.
Must be able to pass all required background checks.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
