This role is a field-based commercial position focused on driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships within the poultry production industry. You will manage a defined territory, developing business opportunities for litter amendment products while ensuring strong technical support to customers. The role combines strategic sales execution with hands-on market development, requiring frequent travel and direct engagement with integrators, growers, and applicators. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them solve operational challenges and optimize product use. Working cross-functionally with technical, operations, and marketing teams, you will help align customer needs with business growth strategies. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, relationship-driven, and technically oriented sales environment.
- Manage an assigned territory by developing and expanding sales of litter amendment products across the U.S. poultry market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with integrators, growers, applicators, and other key customers to understand needs and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute account-level strategies to achieve volume, pricing, and margin objectives.
- Negotiate sales agreements and support contract development for strategic accounts in alignment with business goals.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues related to product use or service delivery.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence, trends, and competitive insights to support business planning.
- Manage full sales processes including quotations, pricing communications, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Collaborate with operations, technical, customer service, and quality teams to resolve issues and support field trials and product development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field preferred.
- 5–10 years of experience in poultry production, agricultural sales, or related technical sales/marketing roles.
- Strong understanding of poultry production systems and customer operations within the industry.
- Proven sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills in a territory management environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in business tools such as SAP, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 50–70% across the assigned region.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities independently.
- Competitive base salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 USD, plus bonus opportunity.
