About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse in our healthcare facility, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care across diverse clinical settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate patient records. Your role will involve direct patient care, including wound management, telemetry monitoring, and providing education to patients and their families to promote health and recovery. You will advocate for patients' rights and well-being, ensuring they receive compassionate and comprehensive care tailored to their individual needs. Collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, you will contribute to improving patient outcomes and supporting the overall mission of our healthcare organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proven experience in medical/surgical nursing and direct patient care.
- Strong knowledge of telemetry monitoring and wound care techniques.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN) or Pediatric Nursing Certification.
- Experience working with nurse practitioners in a collaborative care environment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Experience in patient advocacy programs or roles.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing wound care.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to promote recovery and prevent complications.
- Monitor patients using telemetry equipment to detect and respond to cardiac and other physiological changes.
- Advocate for patients by ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and communicated effectively within the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all nursing care and patient interactions accurately and timely in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Support pediatric nursing care when required, adapting approaches to meet the unique needs of children and their families.
