Job Description
Description:
- Assist lead operator and other operators in performing daily tasks including material set-up for production orders, inspecting material being produced, assisting with changeovers, and informing operators of defective material.
- Work with lead operator and other operators to coordinate schedules maximizing productivity, uptime, quality, and completion of schedules.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment for all manufacturing employees. Follow all department and company safety and housekeeping standards.
- Assist operation team in minimizing material waste.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining appropriate production records. Keep accurate records of laminator activities, as required.
- Maintain positive working relationships and daily contact with other team members.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks throughout the shift and during any downtime.
- Perform all other duties, as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Some experience in laminating, coating, or web-feeding preferred.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to work at a fast pace and read and carry out instructions with little supervision.
- Must possess strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Must be a team player with the ability to maintain a cooperative and respectful attitude.
- Above average verbal communications skills.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
