Assembly Team Member - Temporary in Flowery Branch, Georgia at Bitzer US Inc

Reports to: Pre-Assembly Supervisor

Status: Temporary 1 to 3 months

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-5:00PM

Summary: This position is responsible to wash, dry, pick and place parts in preparation for assembly as the production schedule dictates.

Duties & Tasks:

· Follow all prescribed and standard SAFETY regulations including wearing PPE at all appropriate times.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to and improving upon 5S standards.

· Perform the operations of washing and drying parts, picking, and placing parts according to the production schedule.

· Ensure the chemical levels of the wash water are maintained at appropriate levels.

· Perform inspections of parts to ensure the quality of finished compressors.

· Engrave/Stamp serial numbers into compressor housings and match with production traveler.

· Perform assembly operation for sub-assemblies (bearing caps, oil pumps, etc.)

· Additional duties as assigned by management.

· General knowledge of manufacturing work environment and associated safety practices

· Acute awareness of detail to maintain high quality standards.

· Ability to read and recognize parts and part numbers and place them in the correct orientation/location.

Requirements:

· Able to work overtime for preventative maintenance activities.

· Be to work on time and daily.

· Ability to effectively meet and communicate with colleagues, the public and vendors.

· Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion and sound judgment.

· Good written communication skills and effective organizational skills.

· Ability to work collectively with others within the organization.

Work Environment:

· This job is performed in the assembly/production floor. This role requires the personnel to wear PPE of safety glasses and safety shoes at all times. Hearing protection is required in specific areas.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
