Sr. Director, FP&A

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Director, FP&A based in the United States.

This senior finance leadership role sits at the heart of global decision-making, driving enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across multiple business units.
It plays a critical role in shaping long-term strategy through data-driven insights, risk assessment, and financial modeling at scale.
The position partners closely with executive leadership to influence key business decisions and optimize financial performance.
It oversees corporate FP&A processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment across global teams and functions.
The role also leads budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles while enhancing financial systems and reporting capabilities.
With significant exposure to cross-functional stakeholders, it combines strategic influence with hands-on analytical leadership in a fast-paced, global environment.

Accountabilities

This role is responsible for leading enterprise-wide financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring high-quality forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial insight across global operations. It oversees corporate FP&A functions, drives performance reporting, and partners with senior leadership to support business decision-making.

  • Lead corporate FP&A, including consolidation of global financial results and coordination across business units and regional finance teams.
  • Own annual budgeting, monthly rolling forecasts, and long-range (3-year) strategic financial planning processes.
  • Analyze revenue, operating income, and working capital trends, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Lead monthly business performance reviews and executive reporting, including materials for senior leadership and executive committees.
  • Oversee financial systems and business intelligence capabilities to improve reporting accuracy and decision support tools.
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and advanced financial models to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Support M&A analysis, integration planning, and special financial projects, including scenario modeling and investment evaluations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Controllership and business leaders to ensure financial alignment and operational effectiveness.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in FP&A leadership within complex, global organizations, combined with strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking capabilities. This role requires a hands-on leader comfortable operating at both executive and operational levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and FP&A experience, ideally within a large multinational or publicly traded organization.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance management.
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business trends.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and expert-level Excel proficiency.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate financial insights clearly to executive audiences.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience driving cross-functional collaboration and process improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-performance environment while managing multiple priorities.
