About the Position
ArchKey Solutions is establishing an IT Asset & Vendor Management program to govern the lifecycle of technology assets, software, and vendor contracts across field and office operations. The IT Manager Asset & Vendor Management will lead this program build, beginning with field-deployed network equipment and adding other areas over time.
Asset management and vendor management are equally weighted disciplines within this role. The position partners closely with Finance to support asset capitalization, job-level cost allocation, and budget management, and contributes to ArchKey's broader cybersecurity posture through accurate, current asset inventory.
Day in the Life
- Establishes and leads ArchKey's IT Asset & Vendor Management program defining policy, lifecycle workflows, and governance frameworks; expands scope in phases as the program matures.
- Stands up and maintains a centralized asset inventory using Asset Panda (or equivalent enterprise ITAM platform), ensuring assets are tagged, assigned, and tracked with ownership tied to employees, job sites, and facilities.
- Develops asset management policies, procedures, and controls covering procurement, assignment, refresh, and decommission across managed categories.
- Produces regular reporting on asset inventory accuracy, license compliance, vendor performance, and budget utilization for IT leadership, Finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Applies continuous improvement methodologies to streamline asset lifecycle processes and drive operational efficiency.
- Participates in strategic planning and business development activities for an assigned IT group.
- Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management to the asset management team beginning with one direct report and growing as the program expands.
- Hires, onboards, and develops additional team members as scope and value are demonstrated.
- Communicates program status, KPIs, and risk items regularly to IT leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Ensures the creation and maintenance of written documentation, including asset management procedures, vendor policies, and control records.
- Promotes and models the Company mission, vision, and values through ethical business practices and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Provides day-to-day leadership and management in that group. Works to develop group efficiencies within the IT discipline and to align with other IT groups regarding standards and deliverables.
- Benchmarks with other business leaders to ensure consistent and best practice work standards, strategic goals and objectives, training, and policies and procedures are created and maintained for operations management. Establishes, trains, and maintains IT policies and processes.
- Directs and prioritizes departmental workload. Ensures productive, online systems access is always available across the assigned business group, and that systems downtime is extremely limited. Communicates effectively with key stakeholders to understand their technological needs and expectations. Provides regular updates on IT initiatives, projects, and performance metrics.
- Works with staff to identify opportunities for optimization of existing business processes through technology, develops strategies and plans to enhance customer services, improve user effectiveness, and foster innovation. Oversees systems development/ enhancements and the integration of new systems with existing systems.
- Teams with other managers to select, evaluate, implement, and maintain updated and refreshed technical solutions, quality hardware, software, and technology tools. Researches and implements continuous improvement initiatives and reviews all designs, code, and unit test plans where applicable. Implements effective IT project control by monitoring the progress of key applications and software releases, upgrades, conversions, and file maintenance, and provides status information as needed.
- Ensures customer satisfaction is provided with systems usage via a quality IT help desk and well-trained IT staff professionals, all providing timely and high-quality technical support services and problem-solving. Communicates regularly with leadership and all users of information services and systems. Represents the IT function at customer review meetings when appropriate.
- Provides high-quality information security and disaster recovery procedures and ensures compliance with all industry regulations and standards. Implements and enforces cybersecurity measures to protect the Company's data and systems. Ensures all internal customers understand the appropriate procedures and policy accountabilities. Ensures the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of IT management and leadership experience, with a focus on business services, preferably within the construction industry in a multi-office environment. Minimum 3 years of experience directly managing people.
- Direct experience in the construction or field-services industry.
- Experience managing end-user hardware lifecycle, including ITAD, endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM), and field/remote device deployment.
- Experience managing telecom and carrier services in a multi-carrier environment (e.g., MetTel, Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), including cellular hotspot and GPS device administration.
- Experience with network infrastructure asset tracking, including firmware versioning, support contract management, and EOL planning.
- Experience managing engineering or project management software platforms (e.g., Asana, Project Place, or similar).
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity asset management frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Extensive experience working with current technologies, products, information security, confidential data, and disaster recovery policies, plans and procedures. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of information systems, network and technology design, maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting. Strong service orientation.
- Extensive experience with project management leadership and practices, and the management of multiple concurrent projects. Thorough understanding of the project life cycle. Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus. Highly effective verbal communicator and collaborator
- Strong business acumen and experience collaborating with senior leaders in a high-growth, process-oriented business setting. Proven aptitude for systems-related problem solving. Excellent business development, relationship building and client communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of business applications, business processes and emerging technologies. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Superior listening, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, influencing, collaboration, and conflict management skills for employee groups at all levels. Strong experience and skills in managing and championing organizational change
- Strong verbal and written communication and grammar skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas and concepts and the ability to build strong working teams, cultures, and relationships at all levels and cross functionally. Experience and skills to work closely with proprietary information and maintain confidentiality.

- Occasional travel may be required.
