This role is a highly mobile, hands-on technical position focused on supporting critical aviation security systems across major transportation hubs. You will be responsible for traveling nationwide to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced electromechanical and electronic equipment used in airport security operations. The position combines technical problem-solving with customer-facing service, requiring both precision and responsiveness in high-stakes environments. You will work directly on-site to diagnose system issues, prevent downtime, and ensure optimal performance of mission-critical technology. A strong emphasis is placed on preventive maintenance, rapid issue resolution, and clear technical documentation. This is a field-intensive role suited for a technician who thrives in dynamic environments and is comfortable with extensive travel across the country.

Accountabilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues involving electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical aviation security systems in the field.
  • Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and minimize equipment downtime at airport locations.
  • Document service activities thoroughly by producing accurate and timely technical reports and maintenance records.
  • Support new equipment installations and system upgrades as required across assigned sites.
  • Coordinate daily field service activities, including scheduling, travel planning, and prioritization of urgent service requests.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with airport personnel and clients while ensuring high-quality customer service delivery.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and safe handling of tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 3–5 years of experience in troubleshooting, repair, or technical field service roles.
  • Strong background in electronics, mechanics, or electromechanical systems, with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, field-based environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce detailed service documentation.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and complete field assignments and small projects independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% domestically, with some international travel as required.
  • Valid driver’s license, passport, and compliance with airport security clearance requirements (including background, drug, and credit checks).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required).
  • Preferred: Technical certification in electronics/mechanics, military technical background, or prior experience in field service for imaging or detection systems.
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with long-term career growth opportunities.
  • 401(k) plan with company match that vests immediately.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) contributions.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage supporting evolving personal and family needs.
  • 8 weeks of paid parental leave.
  • Continuous training and education pathways to support technical development.
  • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge aviation security technology in a mission-critical industry.
  • Collaborative, global, and diverse work environment.
