Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager will deliver exceptional and personalized experiences for every customer while leading, motivating and developing a team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence to achieve store goals.

What You Will Do:

Assist in driving sales and achieving store targets through effective team leadership and operational deliveryLead, inspire, coach, and develop team members to achieve collective goals, fostering a positive, high-performing, and customer-focused cultureChampion a customer-first mindset by delivering memorable, personalized experiences, ensuring every customer interaction reflects Boden’s culture, values, and service standardsCultivate lasting customer relationships through ongoing communication, fostering an environment of memorable and personal interactions to drive loyalty and repeat businessOversee daily store operations including all aspects of store appearance, cleanliness, organization, maintenance and overall presentation to create a welcoming and premium shopping atmosphereEnsure visual merchandising aligns with brand direction, highlighting collections to maximize sales and elevate the customer experiencePerform and oversee stock-related tasks including receiving deliveries, processing inventory, restocking sales floor and maintaining stock organizationEnsure timely opening of the store and secure end-of-day closing to maintain operational standards and safetySupport and participate in recruiting, hiring and onboarding new team members, ensuring a welcoming and positive experienceHold team members accountable to company policies and standards; collaborate with HR to address and resolve people-related concernsMaintain accurate time and attendance tracking with timely submission of team timecards for payroll processingActively participate in and support all company initiatives, including product launches and enhancements to the customer experienceEmbody the Boden brand through a polished personal appearance, professionalism, and understanding of brand values and heritageBe a knowledgeable ambassador of the Boden brand – stay up to date on Boden collections, product details, and understand the brand’s history to effectively communicate the Boden story to connect with customersStay up to date on industry and fashion trends to support team knowledge and customer confidenceEnsure and support compliance of occupational health and safety guidelines, processes and proceduresAssist with other related duties as requested

What We Are Looking For:

Undergraduate degree preferred; field of study in business or fashion a plus2-4 years management experience requiredProven track record of success driving results in a retail environmentAbility to use POS technology Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency with standard office devices and computer programs Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm for the Boden brand in a selling environmentExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain a strong teamStrong organizational skills and attention to detail requiredAbility to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store, including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to lift, carry, and move merchandise up to 50lbsFrequent bending, kneeling, reaching and other physical movements required for stocking, organizing and visual merchandisingManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to hang and fold garments, attach tags, an operate POS system, as well as perform other tasks requiring fine motor skills and attention to detail
