Frank Beverage Group in Middleton, WI is now hiring a Warehouse Associate – Special Order & Distribution Picker. The team members of Frank Beverage Group are committed, innovative leaders of the beverage industry through marketing, selling, distributing, merchandising, and servicing quality products to our valued customers.

The Warehouse Associate – Special Order & Distribution Picker is responsible for supporting specialized and time-sensitive warehouse operations including special event orders, distributor orders, satellite transfer orders, and employee quick picks. This role also assists with route driver check-ins and the processing of returned product and dunnage from daily delivery routes.

Requirements:

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Pick and stage special event orders, employee orders, distributor orders, and satellite transfer orders accurately and efficiently.

2. Communicate with the Special Events team, office staff, and management regarding inventory changes, shortages, and other relevant operational information.

3. Build pallets according to order type, route, and delivery requirements.

4. Verify product accuracy and condition during the picking and staging process.

5. Assist with checking in company route drivers upon return from daily routes.

6. Receive loads that arrive after dock cut-off times and follow established check-in procedures.

7. Sort, stage, and put away returned products from daily delivery routes.

8. Process and organize returned dunnage, including pallets, kegs, rotation, and broken products.

9. Sort liquor products that are out of date, broken, or spoiled, and document and adjust inventory as needed.

10. Move returned products to designated storage, back stock, or pick locations.

11. Operate warehouse equipment, technology, and specialized powered industrial equipment when assigned, based on training and certification.

12. Complete daily inspection logs for forklifts, powered industrial trucks, and power equipment.

13. Participate in inventory control activities including cycle counts, location verification, product moves, and assisting with inventory adjustments as assigned.

14. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by sweeping, mopping, removing shrink wrap, and clearing debris.

15. Follow safety procedures and company policies.

16. Other duties as assigned, which may include roles and responsibilities from other warehouse departments as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required.

2. Must obtain sufficient knowledge of company products to answer routine inquiries; Must obtain knowledge of supplier policies including freshness standards and product markings.

3. Experience with forklifts is preferred; ability to obtain company forklift and equipment certifications is required.

4. Possess an analytical and mechanical aptitude.

5. Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.

6. Attention to detail.

7. Strong organization skills.

8. Possess good visual acuity at various distances with dimensional depth perception and color distinction.

9. Demonstrates a high level of flexibility in a dynamic work environment

10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated.

11. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely.

12. Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and comprehend verbal and/or written communications.

13. Ability to communicate with employees, supervisors, managers and customers in respectful manner.

14. Ability to learn and operate all the necessary equipment safely.

15. Ability to operate a computer, hand-held computer, voice picking commands and scanner.

16. Ability to interrupt invoices.
