Cascade Dafo is currently hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician II to complement our Maintenance Team.
Expected starting wage: $28.13 - $32.22 per hour Work shift: Monday-Friday, day shift with occasional need to work nights and/or weekends.
The Maintenance Technician II performs a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on facility infrastructure, machinery, and production equipment. This position is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and operational issues, conducting preventative maintenance activities, and ensuring equipment reliability to minimize downtime and support business operations. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Our Maintenance Technician II’s responsibilities include:
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and building to identify and repair unsafe or malfunctioning conditions
- Following a preventative maintenance plan on equipment and building to ensure continuous operations with little downtime
- Monitoring, ordering, and stocking janitorial supplies
- Assembling benches and/or fixtures for production
- Executing precision hardening, tempering, and annealing of custom parts for manufacturing
- Rebuilding electrical motors
- Cleaning and maintaining HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement as necessary
- Executing carpentry, installations, facility maintenance, beautification, and plumbing repairs to facility
- Providing operational support to senior technicians during advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing maintenance on forklift, straddle truck, and wave lift
- Reading and understanding electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical problems
- Troubleshooting pneumatic valves and controls; designing, building, and installing air delivery and controls for new equipment; rebuilding air tools and cylinders
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining hydraulics pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses
- Designing and building metal fixtures and benches; cutting, welding, and fabricating as necessary

We find that successful applicants have these skills and abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical and HVAC repair
- Understanding of and commitment to lockout/tagout procedures
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals
- Ability to report to and take direction from Facilities Manager as well as work independently when needed
- Capable of maintaining a positive working relationship with all co-workers and leadership
- Must be dedicated to get all assigned projects completed; big or small
- Ability to comply with company policies and OSHA rules while caring out maintenance functions
- Must be able to communicate in English, written and verbal
Please be sure you meet these education, experience, and physical requirements before applying:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in maintenance or related field
- Electrical and welding experience
- Able to be forklift certified
- Ability to work at heights and from ladders
- Must be physically able to perform repairs as needed
- Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, and/or crawl
- Must be able to work indoors in different temperatures and outdoors in all types of weather
- Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
Although not required, we would be thrilled to see applicants who have:
- Water Jet maintenance certification or the willingness and ability to become certified
- Certification in related vocational training

Competitive Wages: Starting hourly wage for this position is $28.13-$32.22, DOE. The full wage scale is $28.13-$36.52 per hour.
