HR Generalist in Yarmouth, Maine at Brighter Heights Maine

Our agency of about 100 people, does amazing work in our mental and behavioral health programs. We are proud of our employees and the work we do. We are seeking someone who has an understanding of this type of organization and who brings empathy, a steady presence, solid experience and all around HR skills to our agency.

This important role advises our Executive Director on all HR matters and is a part of our senior leadership team. Occasionally, our HR Generalist will travel to our other offices in Bangor and Belfast. Travel is about 25%.

The main components of this position includes:

• Staying up to date and in compliance with all applicable laws and policies
• Full cycle onboarding using our HRIS Paylocity
• Orientation
• Assisting with payroll and PTO issues
• Informing and assisting employees with agency benefits
• Manages unemployment and workman's compensation claims
• other HR tasks such as file maintenance, overseeing evaluations, tracking of trainings etc.

• 3+ years of HR experience with HRIS, benefits, payroll, PTO
• Bachelors Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or closely related field
• familiarity with Paylocity desired
• experience with mental and behavioral health agencies is a plus
• PHR and SHRM-CP preferred
• excellent computer and technical skills
• very strong organizational skills
