Position Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) serves as the first point of contact in the sales pipeline, ensuring all inbound leads are accurately qualified, organized, and assigned for follow-up. This role is responsible for managing inbound customer inquiries, validating lead information, maintaining CRM data integrity within HubSpot, and routing opportunities to the appropriate sales representative.

Working closely with the Call Center, Marketing, and Sales teams, the BDR plays a critical role in creating a seamless customer experience while supporting company growth. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine interest in sales and business development.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage inbound sales inquiries from multiple channels including phone, website submissions, email, and marketing campaigns.
  • Respond promptly to prospective customer inquiries and gather the information necessary to determine project scope and customer needs.
  • Qualify inbound opportunities by collecting and verifying:
    • Customer contact information
    • Service location(s)
    • Type of work requested
    • Timeline and urgency
    • Decision-maker information
    • Budget or project size (when applicable)
  • Review, classify, and validate all lead information within HubSpot CRM to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain high standards of CRM data integrity by correcting duplicate records, updating customer profiles, and ensuring consistent data entry.
  • Occasional attendance at expos as business needs dictate
  • Assign qualified opportunities to the appropriate outside sales representative based on geography, service line, customer type, or established routing procedures.
  • Collaborate daily with Call Center Representatives to ensure customer inquiries are properly documented and transitioned through the sales process.
  • Communicate with Sales Representatives regarding lead quality, customer expectations, and any special project considerations.
  • Monitor lead assignment timelines and ensure no qualified opportunities go unaddressed.
  • Assist in tracking lead conversion metrics and identify trends that can improve response time and sales effectiveness.
  • Support Marketing by providing feedback on lead quality and campaign performance.
  • Participate in ongoing sales, CRM, and product/service training.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • 2–5 years of experience in business development, inside sales, customer service, sales support, or lead management.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms, preferably HubSpot.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the construction, facility maintenance, pavement maintenance, or service industries.
  • Familiarity with lead qualification methodologies.
  • Experience supporting outside sales teams.
  • Understanding of sales pipelines and CRM reporting.
  • Experience working with inbound marketing-generated leads.

Schedule

This full-time role requires in-person presence in our Orlando office. Regular office hours are to be maintained from 8AM - 4PM.

Salary

An annual base salary range for this position is $58,000 - $65,000 plus quarterly incentive bonuses.
