Field Supervisor Job Description
The Field Supervisor is responsible for controlling crew costs, including effective use of manpower, work methods, operation of equipment, etc.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage Crew Members in the field.
- Lead daily safety briefings and inform crews of hazards or changes.
- Train, coach, and improve Crew Members' efficiency.
- Recruit, select, and train new hires as needed.
- Ensure safety compliance and report accidents or incidents.
- Monitor and report on safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and tardiness.
- Ensure Crew Members complete sign-in sheets and documentation.
- Conduct vehicle inspections for safety and damage.
- Respond to customer needs and resolve issues in the field.
- Assist with other project tasks as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- The main role of the Field Supervisor is to manage a team of Crew Members to ensure the safety and quality of the Crew Members work.
- The position requires reporting, customer interaction, claims investigation, and any other management field activity that may arise.
- Meet with the Crew Members daily to perform job/safety briefing and inform the crews of any changes or hazards in their work.
- Train, coach, and improve the efficiency of all Crew Members reporting to the supervisor.
- Solicit, select, process, and train new hires as needed.
- Respond to the needs of internal and external customers as needed.
- Respond and report any accident or incident in the field.
- Conduct periodic vehicle inspections for safety compliance and damage assessment.
- Track and report daily; Safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and tardiness of field personnel, ensuring sign-in sheets are completed and filed.
- Assist with other project elements as directed.

Work Location: Must travel to different work locations as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to wear necessary PPE as necessary.
- Must be able to enter and exit a vehicle numerous times a day.
- Must be able to traverse various terrains.
- Must be able to communicate with others.
- Must be able to maintain attention during dangerous tasks.
- Must be able to lift, move and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis, and up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Must have sufficient eyesight to judge distances and coordination to get and use the appropriate equipment and tools.
- Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment.
- Must have transportation to and from the startup location.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Candidates must be available for full-time work, including 10 to 12-hour shifts, with the potential for up to 7 days per week during storm season. Weekend and holiday availability is also required.
