Job Description

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Copywriter to join our growing team and help shape the voice of a contemporary, science-backed skincare brand. This role will be responsible for translating clinical innovation, ingredient science, and product efficacy into compelling, consumer-facing narratives that drive engagement, education, and conversion across all channels.

The ideal candidate possesses a rare combination of creative storytelling and scientific curiosity—someone equally comfortable writing a breakthrough product launch campaign as they are crafting a high-performing product detail page. They understand how to elevate complex skincare science into clear, persuasive language while maintaining a premium, sophisticated brand voice. Reporting to the Art Director, this role will partner closely with Brand Marketing, Product Development, E-Commerce, CRM, Social, and Design teams to ensure consistency and excellence across every customer touchpoint.

What you'll do

Brand & Product Storytelling

  • Lead copy development for new product development (NPD) launches, from concept and positioning through campaign execution
  • Craft compelling product narratives that communicate formulation innovation, ingredient benefits, and clinical efficacy
  • Develop launch messaging frameworks, campaign concepts, taglines, and supporting creative copy
  • Translate complex scientific information into clear, accessible, and engaging consumer language

Packaging & Product Experience

  • Write and refine primary and secondary packaging copy, including product descriptions, directions, claims, and regulatory-compliant messaging
  • Partner with Product Development and Regulatory teams to ensure accuracy and consistency across all packaging communications

Digital & E-Commerce

    • Product Detail Pages (PDPs)
    • Landing Pages
    • Collection and category pages
    • Promotional banners

  • Optimize content to balance brand storytelling, education, and conversion

CRM & Retention

  • Develop copy for lifecycle marketing initiatives, including:
    • Email campaigns
    • Automated customer journeys
    • Product launch communications
    • Promotional and retention programs
  • Write SMS messaging that reflects the brand voice while driving engagement and conversion

Social & Brand Communications

  • Support social media copywriting across organic and paid channels
  • Contribute to content calendars, campaign messaging, and brand storytelling initiatives
  • Ensure all communications reinforce the brand's premium positioning and strategic narrative

Brand Stewardship

  • Serve as a guardian of the brand voice across all channels
  • Maintain consistency in tone, messaging, and positioning while adapting copy for channel-specific needs
  • Continuously evolve and refine messaging frameworks as the brand grows
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of copywriting experience, preferably within beauty, skincare, wellness, luxury consumer goods, or related categories
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across campaign development, digital commerce, CRM, and product storytelling
  • Proven ability to write within a premium, elevated brand voice
  • Experience translating scientific, technical, or ingredient-driven information into compelling consumer narratives
  • Strong understanding of skincare, beauty, wellness, or adjacent consumer categories
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to perform essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong self‑management, prioritization, and ownership of outcomes
  • Proactive problem‑solving and clear, consistent communication
