Build Something New in the Heart of Virginias Blue Ridge
Carilion Clinic is seeking a General Cardiologist to join our growing Cardiovascular Institute and become an integral part of an exciting new outpatient facility in Daleville, Virginia.
This is a unique opportunity for a cardiologist who enjoys building relationships, growing a practice, and becoming part of the community. Rather than stepping into an established clinic, you will have the opportunity to help shape cardiology services at a brand-new Carilion location, supported by the resources, specialists, and referral network of one of Virginias leading integrated health systems.
The cardiologist will practice full time in Daleville and will be joined by a dedicated Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP). On-site cardiovascular diagnostic services will include echocardiography and stress echocardiography, allowing patients to receive much of their routine cardiovascular care close to home.
The Opportunity
The Daleville cardiology practice will provide comprehensive general cardiovascular care to a growing community while maintaining seamless access to the advanced services of Carilion Clinic's Cardiovascular Institute in nearby Roanoke.
The position offers:
- Full-time outpatient general cardiology practice in Daleville
- Opportunity to help establish and grow cardiology services within a new facility
- Dedicated Cardiology APP support
- On-site echocardiography and stress echocardiography
- Strong primary care and specialty referral network
- Access to the full spectrum of cardiovascular subspecialists and advanced cardiac services at Carilion
- Fully integrated Epic electronic medical record
- Academic appointment opportunities through the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine
- Opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows
The Best of Community and Academic Cardiology
This position offers something increasingly difficult to find: the ability to develop a community-based cardiology practice with continuity and long-term patient relationships, while remaining fully connected to a comprehensive academic Cardiovascular Institute.
When patients require advanced care, physicians have direct access to Carilion's cardiovascular specialists and programs, including interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, advanced heart failure, cardiac imaging, vascular care, and cardiothoracic surgery.
The result is a practice environment where the cardiologist can care for patients close to home without practicing in isolation.
