Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Sales based in the United States.
We are seeking an experienced sales leader to drive premium revenue performance across a portfolio of venues within an assigned region. In this role, you will strengthen sales execution by implementing proven sales strategies, coaching local teams, and reinforcing consistent service standards. You will work closely with venue leadership to improve prospecting, customer engagement, pipeline management, and deal conversion. By partnering with marketing and revenue systems teams, you will help local sales organizations use technology, data, and targeted campaigns to achieve their commercial goals. This position combines strategic planning with hands-on coaching, focusing on developing sustainable sales capabilities rather than simply managing day-to-day activities. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record in sales leadership, relationship management, and revenue growth across premium experiences, hospitality, entertainment, or B2B markets.
- Lead sales planning, strategy, and execution across assigned venues and regional markets to achieve premium revenue targets.
- Implement standardized sales, service, and management playbooks in collaboration with local sales directors and venue leadership.
- Guide local sales teams in developing outreach strategies, refining sales narratives, qualifying prospects, and closing opportunities.
- Coach teams on effective sales and service techniques, follow-up practices, product positioning, and customer engagement strategies.
- Support the adoption of CRM platforms, outreach tools, and consistent data standards in collaboration with revenue systems specialists.
- Partner with revenue marketing teams to coordinate campaigns and ensure marketing initiatives reinforce sales strategies and venue revenue objectives.
- Identify sales execution gaps, staffing requirements, training opportunities, and venue-specific challenges, developing practical solutions to improve performance.
- Build local team capabilities by sharing best practices, developing sales skills, and encouraging greater independence in premium sales execution.
- Monitor and report performance against premium revenue goals for each assigned venue, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Share regional insights, successful strategies, and lessons learned with sales performance leadership to support continuous improvement across the organization.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with venue partners, internal stakeholders, and regional leadership teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with revenue marketing, revenue systems, and data teams to improve sales effectiveness and maximize commercial results.
Requirements:
- Eight to ten years of successful sales experience, preferably in premium seating, sports, live entertainment, hospitality, venue operations, or B2B sales.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas, revenue targets, and key performance indicators.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office applications, and other sales technology tools to manage pipelines, maintain accurate records, and generate performance reports.
- Previous experience managing partner relationships and supporting partner success in a collaborative environment.
- Strong coaching and mentoring abilities, with the capacity to develop sales teams and improve their performance through structured guidance and practical training.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, including the ability to engage effectively with clients, executives, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and performance-driven approach to sales leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and venues while maintaining accountability for regional sales outcomes.
Benefits:
- Annual salary ranging from $151,400 to $196,800, depending on applicable factors.
- Eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching.
- Paid time off, including vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays.
- The opportunity to influence sales performance and develop teams across a portfolio of premium live entertainment and venue experiences.
- A collaborative, inclusive working environment that values diverse perspectives and professional excellence.
