The Institute for Bioethics advances research in bioethics and the health humanities, educates the next generation of clinicians, scholars, and leaders in ethical practice, and fosters a community of interprofessional inquiry addressing pressing ethical challenges in healthcare and research. The Institute is the University's principal hub for bioethics and health humanities scholarship, education, and innovation. Its work spans six initiatives that reach across the University: Ethics Education; Education and Programming for Undergraduates; Health Humanities and Social Sciences; Humanistic Communication and Shared Decision Making; Research Ethics; and Clinical Ethics, each anchored by dedicated faculty leadership and active programming across multiple schools.
