Job Description

Role Overview

You are a fast-paced designer and production manager who personally produces high‑quality assets while also coordinating and overseeing external creative partners (freelancers and agencies). This player-coach role blends day-to-day design execution with creative direction, quality control, project management and brand stewardship while building scalable brand systems such as templates, asset libraries and Digital Asset Management (DAM) framework.

This role leads creative project management across multiple internal stakeholders, ensuring efficient scoping, prioritization, vendor selection and on-time delivery across all creative initiatives for several brands (CAA and RecycleOn).

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Production: Design and produce a wide range of creative assets including flyers, PowerPoint decks, infographics, icons, web/email graphics, photos, videos, animations, signage, white papers and more, while also coordinating and managing work produced by freelancers and agencies as needed.
  • Project Management: Reviews and assigns incoming requests (from diverse departments), meets with internal “customers” and ensures on-time delivery or escalation.
  • Creative QA & Direction: Provide creative direction and quality assurance for all visual outputs; coordinate and review work produced by creatives (contractors and agencies) to ensure brand consistency across website, Salesforce Account Engagement, LinkedIn and other channels.
  • Brand Management: Build and maintain scalable brand systems and templates (PowerPoint, InDesign, Canva, iconography, letterhead); serve as brand steward and manage trademark usage.
  • Long-Form Documents: Translate long-form Word documents into polished, on-brand designed materials using Adobe InDesign, including reports, white papers, toolkits and presentations.
  • Coordinate with diverse internal teams.
  • Build and manage image and video bank/DAM. Buy or produce assets as needed.
  • Assist Senior Marketing Manager with sourcing and onboarding freelance and contract creative support as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign for long‑form document layout and production (e.g., reports, white papers, toolkits).
  • Strong ability to balance hands-on design execution with creative direction, quality assurance and oversight of external creatives.
  • Creative project management experience.
  • Proven production mindset with the ability to execute quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Expert visual design skills across digital and print assets (Adobe CC/Canva) with expertise in accessibility best practices.
  • Strong brand stewardship, exceptional attention to detail and experience building and maintaining scalable template systems (including PowerPoint).
  • Ability to provide clear creative direction and conduct QA for work produced by freelancers, external contractors and internal collaborators.
  • Interest in utilizing AI tools responsibly and ethically to improve creative workflows and efficiency.
  • Comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously in a scaling organization with evolving priorities.
  • Photography and video skills are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in brand and visual design with a strong portfolio of print and digital work
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable templates including email newsletters, PowerPoint master decks and related brand assets.
  • Experience building and managing a digital asset management (DAM) system or centralized asset library and building repeatable template systems.
  • Familiarity with basic web content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects for clients (or internal clients that weren’t your manager).
  • Experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Trello, Monday, or similar).

Compensation & Other Information

  • Location: Remote-U.S. Based, with a few annual in-person team meetings.
  • Pay Rate: Based on a variety of factors in accordance with applicable law including the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Reports To: Senior Marketing Manager
