Job Description

  • JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
    • JOB SUMMARY
      • Location: Onsite (flexible schedule option after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period — e.g., four 10-hour onsite shifts)

        Role Summary: Manage and administer the organization's compensation structures and retirement programs with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and timely multitasked reporting. This role requires deep knowledge of retirement plans and compensation models, strong multitasking under variable priorities, and intermediate Excel skills to convert and analyze data from text files for reporting.

        Key responsibilities:

        • Administer retirement plans (403(b), pension plans, and other healthcare specific retirement programs); serve as employee resource and coordinate with vendors (e.g. Milliman) and the investment committee.
        • Develop, maintain and update compensation structures, job-based pay bands, incentive/bonus frameworks, and market benchmarking analysis.
        • Perform compensation modeling and total rewards calculations to support pay decisions and budget planning.
        • Produce regular and ad-hoc reports by converting text files into usable datasets, cleansing and reconciling data, and preparing analysis and visualization in Excel.
        • Manage concurrent tasks across compensation, retirement, reporting, and HR operations while meeting deadlines and responding to unpredictable requests.
        • Ensure compliance with ERISA, applicable labor laws, and healthcare regulations; maintain documentation and audit readiness.
        • Support HR projects such as onboarding/orientation for benefits systems, job description updates, and employee communications related to pay and retirement.
        • Use HRIS systems (experience with Meditech Expanse preferred) to update records and pull data for analysis.
    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • Professional & Technical Skills
        • Proven knowledge of retirement plans (403(b), pensions) and compensation models, including salary structures, market benchmarking, and incentive design. Advanced Excel skills (including text import/conversion, formulas, pivot tables, data cleansing, and basic macros) required. Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize shifting demands and produce accurate reports under time pressure. Excellent attention to detail and data-entry accuracy; ability to type 55 wpm.
      • Education
        • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred. High School diploma or GED required.
      • Other Skills or Requirements
        • Self-starter able to work independently; Experience with Meditech Expanse or similar HR/benefits systems preferred. Familiarity with ERISA, retirement plan administration best practices, and healthcare compensation norms preferred. Role involves handling PHI -- adherence to HIPAA policies and mandatory training required.
      • License(s) or Certification(s)
        • SHRM-CP or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification a plus but not required.
