Job Description
About Hoxton
Hoxton is a client-side workplace partner working across real estate, workplace strategy, workplace environment, and the wider decisions that shape workplace performance.
We're built for clients who want clear thinking, commercial judgement, and delivery that holds up in the real world. We say what we think, we make the call, and we stay close to the work from first conversation through to handover.
This is not a business built on layers, scripts, or politics. It's built on the people who do the work, and we're careful about who we bring in to represent us.
Workplace Partners, Built Different.
What We Are Recruiting For
We're growing, and we're looking for someone to take on the operational side as we do.
This will be a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship. You'll work closely with our senior team, with real ownership of how the business runs day to day. The kind of role where things work because you make them work.
You'll touch most of how we run day to day. That includes internal operations, client coordination, finance admin, paperwork, onboarding new clients, and supporting the Principal on diary, travel and the work behind the work. You'll also help us keep our marketing and social activity moving. The role is broad on purpose.
This is a role for someone who likes structure, takes pride in doing things right, and wants to learn how a business actually works from the inside. The expectations are high, the work is real, and your contribution will be visible from day one.
What You Will Do- Run our day-to-day operational backbone, keeping internal systems, tools and records clean and up to date.
- Support the Principal with diary, travel, expenses, scheduling and the practical work that keeps the business moving.
- Coordinate the operational side of client engagements, including kickoff setup, scheduling, documentation and handover between phases.
- Help run the client onboarding workflow end to end, from initial paperwork through to engagement go-live.
- Manage and produce client and internal paperwork, including engagement documents, agreements, templates and supporting materials.
- Support finance admin, including invoicing, expenses, supplier setup and keeping financial records accurate and current.
- Coordinate client communications where appropriate, including scheduling, follow-ups, and keeping conversations on track.
- Help run our marketing and social activity until we hire a dedicated marketing person, including content, social posts, and keeping our presence consistent.
- Help organise events, including industry attendance, internal moments and any client-facing activity we host.
- Build and maintain the systems, templates and processes that make the business easier to run over time.
- Bring ideas. Watch how the business works, flag what could be smoother, and have a view.
- Complete the formal learning, assessments and portfolio work required by the Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship.
- Naturally organised. You like a list, a plan, and knowing what's next.
- The kind of attention to detail that means things don't fall through the cracks.
- Strong written English, with a feel for tone and an instinct for what reads well.
- The confidence to handle client-facing work, including communications, scheduling and coordination.
- A genuine interest in how businesses are built, sold and run.
- A love of social media. You're on it, you understand it, you watch how it moves.
- The confidence to have a go, share an opinion, and ask the question when something isn't clear.
- Reliable. The kind of person who already runs their own life with structure.
- Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion.
- The eligibility and motivation to complete a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship alongside the role.
- You want a first job that gives you real work and real learning, not a holding pattern.
- You care about doing things right and don't cut corners.
- You're curious about how businesses are built, sold and run, not just supported.
- You take feedback well and act on it.
- You're comfortable being the most junior person in the room, and confident enough to be in the room.
- Comfortable working in person from our Manchester base, alongside the Principal and the wider Hoxton team. We don't operate as a remote or hybrid business by default.
- Any experience supporting someone senior, whether in a part-time job, a school or college role, or a family business.
- A personal social account, side project, page or channel where you've built something of your own.
- Familiarity with everyday business tools and platforms.
- Interest in workplace, design, property or business as broader topics.
Why Hoxton

Your work will go out into the world. Not into a folder.

If you want a real first chapter, or your next one, with proper responsibility and the chance to build alongside us, you'll feel at home here.
