Medical Assistant in Naples, Florida at PRECISION HEALTHCARE SPECIALISTS LLC

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Urology team. The CMA will work closely with our physicians and clinical team to provide quality, compassionate care to our patients while helping ensure the office operates efficiently.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced specialty environment. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential.

• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs, medical history, medications, and patient concerns
• Room patients and assist providers throughout the patient visit
• Assist physicians with examinations and urologic procedures as directed
• Prepare and maintain examination and procedure rooms
• Perform clinical tasks within the scope of training and certification
• Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and processing according to office protocols
• Perform urine testing and other point-of-care testing as directed
• Assist with wound care and other clinical needs as directed by the provider
• Provide patients with instructions regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care as directed by the provider
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Communicate patient concerns and clinical information to the provider and appropriate clinical staff
• Assist with prescription requests and medication-related tasks according to office procedures
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and assist with patient care coordination
• Maintain appropriate clinical supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and company policies and procedures
• Provide professional and compassionate patient care
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
• Previous medical assisting experience preferred
• Urology or other specialty-office experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment
• Comfortable working directly with patients and providers
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Basic computer and EMR proficiency
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in providing excellent patient care and enjoys being part of a collaborative clinical team. Urology experience is preferred, but we are also open to strong CMAs with solid clinical experience who are eager to learn the specialty.
