As a Field Service Technician II, you will be a senior technical leader responsible for complex field operations, major commissioning activities, and mentoring the service organization. This role will work directly with customers and installers in the field and provide various field service activities for Trystar’s offerings from commissioning, planned maintenance, equipment upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair.

In this role you will get to:
- Serve as person-in-charge for large-scale commissioning, startup, and complex retrofit projects
- Lead troubleshooting and work on and maintain high, medium, and low voltage systems
- Service, maintain, repair, assemble, troubleshoot and commission electrical apparatus and protective devices
- Perform advanced diagnostics and root cause analysis
- Analyze test data and produce detailed technical reports
- Lead multi-resource service projects and coordinate field activities
- Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians
- Support engineering with field data, system validation, and continuous improvement efforts
- Operate various types of electrical test equipment, analyze test data and compile technical reports
- Manage critical customer interactions and high-visibility service events
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
- Assist engineers in data collection, completion of power system studies, site inspections, equipment design, project scope development
- Maintain positive client relationships through on-site interactions
Scope and Autonomy:
- Full ownership of complex and high-risk field service activities
- Leads teams and multi-day service projects
- Acts as escalation point for technical decision-making
- Expert-level troubleshooting across electrical systems
- Deep understanding of power systems and testing methodologies
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret complex schematics and specifications
- Proficiency with electrical testing equipment
- Must be a team player, willing to work with others in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- 4+ years of field service or equivalent experience
- Electrical Apprentice, Electrical Journeyman, CET, EIT, ASCT required
