Enterprise Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Architect based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of business strategy and enterprise technology, enabling large-scale transformation across complex insurance and benefits operations. You will be responsible for shaping architectural direction that aligns IT systems, platforms, and capabilities with long-term business objectives. Acting as a key advisor to senior leadership, you will define target architectures, roadmaps, and standards that guide investment decisions and modernization efforts. The position requires strong experience in translating complex operational and insurance business needs into scalable, resilient technology solutions. You will work across multiple stakeholders and domains, influencing enterprise-wide decisions and ensuring consistency across systems and processes. This is a high-impact role where architectural vision directly enables business agility, efficiency, and innovation.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture roadmaps, principles, and standards across key business capability domains.
  • Translate business strategy into scalable, actionable technology architectures that support operational and digital transformation.
  • Evaluate existing systems, identify gaps, and design target-state architectures aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Lead architectural oversight for large, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment across business and IT stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership and advisory support for solution design, application development, and system integration.
  • Review and validate project proposals, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, security, and best practices.
  • Support application rationalization and modernization efforts across complex insurance and benefits platforms.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand requirements across servicing, financial, and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of architecture governance processes, frameworks, and review standards.
  • Mentor technical teams and promote consistent adoption of architecture principles and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or related senior architecture roles.
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale technical solutions and architectural strategies.
  • Strong background working within insurance, brokerage, employee benefits, or risk management environments.
  • Experience managing or influencing large, cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex business and operating models into clear architectural roadmaps.
  • Strong understanding of application landscapes, integration patterns, and enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with large-scale modernization or application rationalization programs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture framework experience is a plus.
