Strategic Project Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Project Lead based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of client leadership, technical delivery oversight, and commercial growth, acting as the primary strategic owner of key AI lab partnerships. You will be responsible for turning early-stage pilots into long-term, scaled production engagements by deeply understanding partner needs and aligning them with delivery capabilities. The position requires close coordination across delivery teams, ensuring quality, consistency, and execution excellence across multiple concurrent projects. You will serve as the senior external-facing point of contact, shaping expectations, identifying expansion opportunities, and guiding strategic account direction. The environment is fast-paced and highly collaborative, requiring strong judgment, structured thinking, and comfort with ambiguity. Success in this role directly impacts revenue growth, partner satisfaction, and long-term account expansion.

Accountabilities
  • Own and manage strategic relationships with AI lab partners, serving as the primary senior point of contact across all engagements and communications.
  • Drive account expansion by transforming pilots and initial scopes into long-term production contracts and recurring revenue streams.
  • Lead scoping discussions and translate partner needs into structured statements of work in collaboration with technical and leadership stakeholders.
  • Oversee delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring quality, consistency, and alignment with partner expectations through delivery teams.
  • Manage commercial aspects of accounts including scope definition, pricing inputs, and margin awareness, escalating when needed for strategic decisions.
  • Identify growth opportunities by understanding partner roadmaps and proactively shaping future engagements.
  • Feed strategic insights back into internal leadership to inform origination, positioning, and product direction.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in account management, partnerships, engagement management, or technical delivery leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of growing enterprise or technical accounts and converting pilots into scaled production engagements.
  • Experience working directly with AI/ML teams, data platforms, or technical enterprise buyers in a client-facing capacity.
  • Strong ability to operate in technical discussions, with enough fluency in AI/ML or data evaluation concepts to scope work credibly.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, including scope management, pricing considerations, and revenue growth responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to engage senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments requiring structure creation and independent judgment.
  • Background in AI data, model evaluation, benchmarking, or related technical domains is highly valued.
