Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Chemist, Materials Scientist, or Chemical Engineer to join our Applications Development team. The Application Specialist will support product development activities for advanced semiconductor metallization processes. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who enjoys laboratory work, problem-solving, and working in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will assist in designing and executing experiments, generating technical data, evaluating new formulations, and supporting the optimization of existing products. Working closely with R&D scientists, engineers, and customers, the Application Specialist will gain experience in semiconductor electroplating technologies, process characterization, analytical techniques, and product commercialization.

What will you be doing?
  • Support the characterization and optimization of electrodeposition products for semiconductor applications, including damascene, wafer-level packaging (WLP), TSV, and compound semiconductor technologies.
  • Conduct laboratory experiments and testing according to established procedures and project objectives.
  • Assist in executing Design of Experiments (DoE) studies to evaluate and optimize new and existing formulations.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize experimental data and prepare technical reports.
  • Support the generation of technical data packages for customer evaluations, product development, and marketing activities.
  • Assist with customer demonstrations, product evaluations, and scale-up activities when required.
  • Perform physical and chemical characterization of plated deposits and processes.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper operation of analytical instruments.
  • Follow laboratory safety procedures and actively contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • Participate in team meetings, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Applications, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to support project objectives.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced and multi-task environment. Self-motivated. Team oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical information effectively and concisely to engineering, sales, technicians, etc.
Who are You?
  • PhD or master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or related field
  • 1-3 years of related experience working in chemistry laboratories preferably electroplating

The typical base salary range for this position is between $95,406.00 and $143,108.00
