Senior Business Development Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager based in the United States.

This is a high-impact commercial role focused on driving expansion across the US events, sports, hospitality, and live entertainment sectors. You will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and shaping a scalable go-to-market strategy in a rapidly growing market. Operating in a fast-paced, scale-up environment, you will work across the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pitch development to negotiation and close. The role blends strategic market development with hands-on execution, requiring both commercial sharpness and strong field presence. You will collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and product teams to ensure successful delivery of complex, high-value solutions. This is an opportunity to play a defining role in establishing and growing a US presence for an innovative technology business.

Accountabilities:
  • Drive new business development across US-based venues, sports organizations, festivals, live events, and hospitality groups.
  • Build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders including operators, promoters, venue owners, and strategic partners.
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across priority sectors and regions.
  • Conduct market research to identify high-value targets and refine US go-to-market strategy.
  • Create compelling, ROI-driven commercial proposals and business cases aligned with customer needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure feasibility, pricing accuracy, and successful deal execution.
  • Maintain CRM accuracy and provide regular reporting on pipeline status, forecasts, and commercial performance.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, client meetings, and live activations across the US.
  • Contribute insights from the market to help refine messaging, positioning, and sales strategy.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or commercial roles.
  • Proven track record of managing full-cycle B2B sales and consistently closing new business.
  • Experience engaging and influencing senior decision-makers in complex sales environments.
  • Background in or exposure to events, sports, hospitality, entertainment, SaaS, venue technology, or adjacent industries.
  • Strong ability to build relationships, open new accounts, and develop long-term commercial partnerships.
  • Experience creating proposals, business cases, and ROI-driven presentations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong CRM discipline and ability to manage structured pipelines effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, remote-first environment with regular US travel.
  • Highly proactive, resilient, and comfortable operating in an early-stage or scaling market environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive base salary of $100,000–$125,000 depending on experience.
  • On-target earnings of $160,000–$210,000 with uncapped performance upside.
  • Commission structure tied to new business wins and commercial growth.
  • Potential equity or share options, subject to eligibility and company scheme.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • 401(k) retirement plan eligibility.
  • Paid time off plus standard US holidays.
  • Travel and client-related expense coverage.
  • Remote-first working arrangement with flexibility.
  • Professional development and industry event participation.
  • Opportunity to shape and lead US market expansion from an early stage.
  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
