Lead Developer - D365 F&O

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Developer - D365 F&O based in India.

This role is a senior technical leadership position focused on designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations solutions within a global IT environment. You will lead development efforts across complex ERP systems, driving architecture decisions, customizations, and integrations that support large-scale business operations. The position requires a strong mix of hands-on development expertise and team leadership, with responsibility for mentoring engineers and ensuring high engineering standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across regions to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. This role sits at the intersection of ERP innovation and cloud integration, leveraging modern Microsoft and Azure technologies. It offers the opportunity to work in a globally distributed setup with exposure to diverse business processes and transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions, including customizations, integrations, automation, and reporting.
  • Guide and mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and coding standards.
  • Oversee deployment processes, environment management, and DevOps pipelines to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with global business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
  • Design and implement integrations using Azure services such as Logic Apps, Functions, and Service Bus, supporting event-driven architectures.
  • Support data migration, system enhancements, and continuous improvement of ERP platforms across global operations.

Requirements:

  • 10–12 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 development, including at least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead role.
  • Strong expertise in X++, .NET/C#, SQL, JavaScript, Visual Studio, and D365 extension frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with DMF, Data Entities, SSRS, Electronic Reporting, Power Apps, and ERP data migration processes.
  • Solid understanding of Azure integration services including Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, automated testing (RSAT), and release management.
  • Deep knowledge of LCS, environment management, Dual-write, BYOD, and D365 deployment practices.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor developers, and solve complex enterprise system challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across global, distributed teams.
