This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff/Corporate Accountant based in Mexico.
You will join a finance-focused role supporting a structured, non-operating investment environment where accuracy and control of financial data are critical. In this position, you will manage day-to-day accounting activities for an internal investment fund, ensuring all capital movements, cash activity, and corporate transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. You will work in a highly detail-oriented setting, maintaining clean and reliable books while supporting reporting processes for investment-related operations. Your work will directly contribute to financial transparency, compliance, and effective capital tracking across entities. This is a role that requires precision, consistency, and strong ownership of accounting processes within a lean and structured financial framework. You will also collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely month-end close and reliable financial reporting.
- Manage daily accounting operations for an investment fund, including tracking capital contributions, capital calls, distributions, and related transactions.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all cash activity is accurately recorded and maintained in the general ledger.
- Support month-end and periodic closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Process and review limited payables related to corporate and fund-level expenses.
- Maintain clean and organized financial records for a non-operating investment entity.
- Assist in preparing basic financial reports and ensuring consistency across accounting data.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting standards and documentation requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Strong experience in corporate accounting, fund accounting, or property accounting environments.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
- Experience with tools such as AppFolio, Yardi, Buildium, SAP, or similar systems is a strong plus.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
