Client Relationship Executive III
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Client Relationship Executive III based in the United States.
This is a senior individual-contributor opportunity focused on leading strategic relationships with large, complex healthcare organizations.
You will own the full client partnership lifecycle, spanning retention, renewals, expansion, adoption, value realization, and risk mitigation.
The role combines executive relationship management with strong commercial, operational, and strategic account leadership.
You will engage directly with senior leaders across clinical, operational, technology, finance, revenue cycle, and executive functions.
Success will depend on translating client priorities into measurable outcomes while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver lasting value.
You will also help shape client strategy, identify growth opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships in a rapidly evolving healthcare technology environment.
The position is remote and includes significant travel, with up to 60% travel required.

- Strategic Account Leadership: Own comprehensive account strategies covering retention, renewals, growth, relationship development, product adoption, value realization, and risk mitigation for major healthcare clients.
- Executive Relationship Management: Act as a trusted strategic advisor to senior client stakeholders across operational, clinical, revenue cycle, IT, finance, managed care, and executive functions.
- Renewals & Retention: Lead renewal strategies from risk identification through contract completion, collaborating with Sales, Finance, Legal, and executive stakeholders.
- Account Expansion: Identify and develop opportunities to expand the use of products and services by connecting client priorities and operational challenges to measurable business value.
- Client Value & Adoption: Ensure customers understand and realize the value of contracted solutions, including reporting, analytics, workflows, and optimization opportunities.
- Business Reviews: Lead executive-level business reviews and strategic partnership discussions, communicating performance, utilization, outcomes, opportunities, risks, and recommended actions.
- Client Health & Risk Management: Establish effective operating cadences, monitor account health, and proactively address adoption, satisfaction, operational, competitive, and relationship risks.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Coordinate Product, Clinical, Data & Analytics, Implementation, Support, IT/Interoperability, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and other teams to achieve client and business objectives.
- Client Advocacy: Build executive champions and encourage participation in references, case studies, webinars, advisory councils, peer discussions, and product feedback initiatives.
- Market & Strategic Insights: Translate customer feedback, market developments, and emerging needs into actionable recommendations for internal leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Payer & Connectivity Strategy: Support opportunities involving health plans and payer connectivity, helping advance workflows that strengthen the overall partnership.
- Performance Management: Maintain accurate account, opportunity, renewal, risk, relationship, and activity information in CRM and client engagement systems while achieving annual retention, renewal, and growth targets.
- Travel: Travel to client locations and other business destinations as required, with travel expected to reach up to 60%.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Experience: 10+ years in account management, client success, sales, consulting, or a related field, including at least 5 years managing large and complex healthcare customers or enterprise technology partnerships.
- Healthcare Expertise: Experience with multi-facility health systems, revenue cycle organizations, healthcare SaaS, utilization management, clinical operations, or related healthcare technology environments is strongly preferred.
- Strategic Account Management: Demonstrated success managing high-value strategic relationships, developing account plans, driving retention and complex renewals, executing contracts, and generating account growth.
- Executive Engagement: Proven ability to build trusted relationships and lead strategic conversations with Director, VP, and C-suite stakeholders.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to connect customer priorities, product capabilities, measurable outcomes, and financial considerations to effective retention and expansion strategies.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong ability to synthesize complex operational, financial, utilization, and performance information into clear recommendations and compelling executive presentations.
- Leadership & Influence: Strong negotiation, influencing, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution capabilities, with the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Organization: Highly proactive and organized, with the ability to manage multiple complex accounts, projects, priorities, risks, and commercial timelines simultaneously.
- Technology: Experience with CRM and client engagement platforms, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Industry Credentials: Healthcare revenue cycle experience is highly valued; CRCR or a comparable industry certification is preferred.
- Team Development: Ability to mentor peers, share best practices, and elevate team performance without requiring formal people-management responsibility.
- Working Style: Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment where priorities evolve and complex issues require sound judgment and initiative.
- Travel & Work Authorization: Ability to travel nationally, including occasional travel to Tennessee for training. Applicants must already be authorized to work permanently in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
