Location: Yorkville, Tennessee (not far from Dyer, Jackson, Rutherford, and Milan and Medina TN)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $18.00

What You'll Do
As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting patient care by ensuring insurance benefits, eligibility, and authorization requirements are verified accurately and communicated effectively.
In This Role, You Will:
- Verify patient insurance coverage, benefits, eligibility, deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
- Investigate authorization and payer requirements to support timely patient care.
- Communicate professionally with patients, physician offices, clinics, referral sources, and insurance carriers.
- Obtain and document accurate insurance information within company systems.
- Follow up with payers regarding eligibility, authorizations, claim status, and coverage determinations.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
- Track and update departmental reports, spreadsheets, and workflow logs.
- Identify issues, discrepancies, or payer concerns and escalate appropriately.
- Support team goals and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Deliver exceptional customer service through clear verbal and written communication.

Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working in an office or healthcare administrative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
Preferred
- Associate degree.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with insurance verification, benefits investigation, prior authorizations, or healthcare revenue cycle functions.
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) insurance requirements and payer processes.
- Experience working with electronic medical records, insurance portals, and healthcare software systems.
