Position Description

Main Purpose:

Directs or performs the day-to-day maintenance operations for one division or multiple smaller divisions

  • Branch Manager
  • Senior Maintenance Technician, Dispatch, Diamond Technicians, Laborers, Administrative Staff
  • Sales

External

  • Industry Associations

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Carry out corporate maintenance and repair programs, equipment safety programs, and equipment training programs. Provide technical guidance in start-up of new equipment and follow up maintenance programs
  • Maintain effective equipment maintenance schedules and records on all company equipment and tools.
  • Analyze parts and supply inventories to insure adequate and cost effective inventory
  • Identify outside shops (machine shops, hydraulic shops, electrical specialty shops, etc.) to perform special or time effective work.
  • Act as technical expert and advise personnel when to take equipment out of service due to mechanical problems
  • Monitor equipment and tool warranty programs to insure warranty claims are forwarded to Equipment Manager for processing
  • Assist in maintaining all corporate equipment files including inventory, repair and maintenance, etc
  • Perform additional assignments as requested by supervisors
Position Requirements
  • 6 years experience in construction equipment maintenance (such as master mechanic) with technical training in equipment repair and operation or equivalent combinations of technical training and experience
  • Must possess practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment
  • Strong construction technical skills and knowledge required
  • Computer/Office Machines Microsoft Work, Excel, Outlook
  • English proficient in business writing and verbal communication
  • Knowledge and accuracy in arithmetic important
