Job Description
Addicus is seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Marketing Manager to serve as the internal execution engine behind the firm’s growth, brand equity, and visibility. Reporting directly to Stephen Miles and working closely with Addicus’ executive leadership and the broader team, you are the primary day-to-day project manager and “doer” — translating marketing strategy into consistent, on-brand action across the Addicus brand and its business units —the Addicus Consulting Group, and Addicus Private Equity.
You will work hand-in-hand with our external agency partner — and shoulder-to-shoulder with the internal team — to execute a comprehensive program spanning outbound marketing, public relations, thought leadership, content creation and distribution, webinars, and event management. The ideal candidate is a proactive project manager and content coordinator who thrives on keeping many moving parts organized and driving projects across the finish line.
This role is based in-person in one of our offices in Tupelo, MS; Oxford, MS; Jackson, MS; or Birmingham, AL — working side by side with leadership and the local team in a collaborative, high-energy environment, and serving as the central marketing engine for the firm while maintaining a direct, seamless connection to our external agency partners.
THE RESULT THIS SEAT OWNS:
The firm’s internal marketing execution engine — strategy turned into consistent, on-brand, on-time output that builds firmwide brand awareness and equity.
What You Will Own:
Marketing Collateral & Brand Asset Management
- Collateral Ownership — own the updates and maintenance of all firm collateral, ensuring data, team information, and compliance language stay current.
- Internal Traffic Manager — serve as the internal traffic manager when specialized design or heavy content production is required, collaborating with external partners to produce high-end assets (white papers, infographics, event signage, website).
- Brand Guardian — act as the internal brand guardian — ensuring all new materials, client-facing decks, and promotional assets align strictly with the established Addicus brand identity and visual standards.
- Digital Asset Library — build, organize, and maintain a centralized, easy-to-navigate digital asset library (SharePoint, Drive, or a DAM platform) so advisors and leadership can access the latest approved logos, photography, templates, and collateral.
- New-Hire Branding — coordinate branding for new team members — email signatures, business cards, and bio/headshot files — and keep materials stocked across offices.
Public Relations & Media Coordination
- Media Point of Contact — act as the daily internal point of contact to facilitate proactive newsjacking, trendspotting, and media pitching.
- Announcements Pipeline — maintain the internal pipeline for company announcements, milestones, and research releases.
Outbound Marketing, Content & Distribution
- Editorial Calendar — create and manage a monthly editorial calendar, ensuring timely creation of blogs, long-form LinkedIn posts, thought-leadership pieces, market alerts, and promotional assets.
- SME Interviews — interview internal subject matter experts (advisors, executives) to gather insights and source content.
- Distribution & Promotion — own the outbound distribution and digital promotion of all published content, white papers, and research to clients and prospects across LinkedIn and other social media, email newsletters, and the website.
- Website Updates — regularly update the corporate website with approved insights, keeping all live copy, landing pages, and materials consistent with the brand identity and leadership’s messaging matrix.
- Webinars & Virtual Events — plan, promote, and host webinars and virtual thought-leadership sessions, coordinating speakers, registration, and post-event follow-up with clients and prospects.
Events & Thought Leadership Logistics
- Event Calendars — manage the corporate speaking, awards, and industry event calendars.
- Event Logistics — coordinate logistics for Addicus’s participation in high-value industry events, including hosted dinners, sponsorships, and private client events.
Sales & Client Onboarding Support
- CRM Pipeline — help maintain the sales opportunity pipeline with accurate stages and key data points, and support sales forecast dashboards leadership can rely on.
- Meeting & Travel Kits — ensure partners are well equipped with the right marketing materials before client travel and sales meetings.
- New Client Onboarding — coordinate the creation and delivery of onboarding materials to new clients.
Reporting & Analytics
- Performance Tracking — track monthly and quarterly marketing metrics across PR (share of voice, mentions), content (reads, clicks), and events (leads generated, attendance).
- Leadership Reporting — compile and share marketing wins and performance reports with internal leadership.
- Budget Support — support management of the annual marketing budget.
What We Are Looking For:
Required:
- 4-6 years of corporate marketing or agency experience, ideally within professional services, wealth management, accounting, private equity, or B2B financial services
- A proven track record of executing tactical marketing plans rather than just designing high-level strategy — you love checklists, deadlines, and seeing projects through to completion
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across internal stakeholders and an external agency
- Strong copyediting skills and experience managing digital content distribution channels (social media, email marketing platforms, CMS)
- Confident, professional demeanor; comfortable interfacing with C-suite executives and external partners
- Proven ability to navigate a multi-stakeholder environment, partnering effectively with internal executives, cross-functional teams, and external agencies to drive projects forward
- Ability to balance immediate tactical tasks with longer-term projects and keep deliverables on track
- A fast-paced, high-energy professional with a strong bias for action who can pivot quickly as business needs evolve
- A proactive self-starter who takes complete ownership of their workflow and executes projects independently without heavy oversight
- Advanced computer skills — Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or a related field
- Experience with Microsoft Customer Insights (or comparable CRM) and email marketing platforms
- Basic familiarity with banking, finance, securities, or insurance, and the ability to learn the Addicus business model quickly
- Experience producing compliance-reviewed content in a regulated (SEC/FINRA) environment
- Familiarity with a digital asset management (DAM) platform and marketing analytics tools
