Preferred Background: Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), or a related healthcare support professional

Position Summary

CareGiving In Home Care LLC is seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated healthcare professional to provide part-time field support and help expand the company's non-medical in-home care services throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

The individual will assist with enrolling new clients, coordinating service starts, conducting periodic client home visits for supervisory and service-quality purposes, supporting caregiver onboarding, managing employee identification badges, and developing professional relationships with community resources and organizations serving seniors and individuals who need assistance at home.

The ideal candidate has a healthcare background, strong interpersonal skills, reliable follow-through, and the ability to work independently in the field while communicating regularly with company management.

This is primarily a non-medical home care coordination and field-support position. Clinical services are not part of the role unless separately authorized, appropriately licensed, and legally permitted.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Client Enrollment and Intake Support

  • Assist prospective clients and their families with the enrollment and intake process.

  • Gather and organize client information, service preferences, schedules, emergency contacts, and other required documentation.

  • Explain the company's non-medical home care services and service process using approved company materials.

  • Coordinate initial visits, service start dates, caregiver introductions, and follow-up communication.

  • Communicate client needs and concerns to the manager to support appropriate service planning.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in approved company systems.

2. Periodic Client Home Visits and Supervisory Support

  • Conduct periodic visits to clients' homes as assigned to monitor service quality and client satisfaction.

  • Check in with clients and, when appropriate, their authorized family representatives regarding service reliability and quality.

  • Observe whether assigned non-medical services appear consistent with the approved service plan and company expectations.

  • Communicate concerns about caregiver attendance, service delivery, safety, changing client needs, or dissatisfaction to the owner/administrator promptly.

  • Document visit dates, observations, client feedback, and required follow-up actions.

  • Help coordinate corrective action, additional communication, or follow-up visits when concerns arise.

  • Escalate urgent safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, and reportable incidents in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

3. Caregiver Onboarding and New-Hire Support

  • Assist with onboarding newly hired caregivers and other field personnel.

  • Help collect required employment forms, acknowledgments, and onboarding documents.

  • Coordinate completion and documentation of applicable background checks, Home Care Aide Registry requirements, and other required clearances before a caregiver begins work, as applicable.

  • Explain approved company policies, communication procedures, documentation expectations, and professional conduct standards.

  • Coordinate orientation appointments and notify management of incomplete onboarding requirements.

  • Maintain organized and confidential onboarding records.

4. Employee Identification Badge Management

  • Coordinate the preparation and issuance of company identification badges for authorized employees.

  • Verify employee names, photographs, titles, and other information against approved company records.

  • Maintain a badge log documenting issuance dates, employee acknowledgment, replacements, returns, and deactivation when applicable.

  • Arrange replacement badges when identification is lost, damaged, or requires updating.

  • Collect badges from separating employees when required and notify management of missing badges.

  • Ensure badges are issued only to authorized personnel and used according to company policy.

5. Community Outreach and Relationship Building

  • Build professional relationships with community resources throughout the Santa Clarita Valley that serve older adults, individuals with disabilities, and families seeking in-home support.

  • Visit senior centers, senior living communities, social service organizations, community programs, and other appropriate local resources.

  • Introduce CareGiving In Home Care LLC and provide approved information about the company's non-medical home care services.

  • Develop relationships with social workers, community resource coordinators, care managers, and other professionals, as appropriate.

  • Distribute approved marketing materials and follow up professionally with interested organizations.

  • Identify local programs, resources, and partnership opportunities that may benefit clients and support company growth.

  • Document outreach visits, contacts, follow-up commitments, and opportunities for management review.

  • Represent the company professionally and comply with applicable laws and company policies governing referrals and marketing.

6. Field Coordination and Administrative Support

  • Provide field support during new client starts, caregiver introductions, and service transitions.

  • Assist with scheduling home visits, onboarding appointments, and client follow-ups.

  • Communicate updates between clients, families, caregivers, and the owner/administrator.

  • Help identify service gaps, client concerns, staffing needs, and opportunities to improve service quality.

  • Submit regular activity reports covering client visits, enrollment progress, onboarding, badge management, and community outreach.

  • Perform other related field-support duties consistent with the position and the employee's qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certificate, LVN license, or comparable healthcare-related education or experience; an active LVN license is preferred if licensed nursing duties are part of the role.

  • Experience in a medical office, home care, senior services, healthcare coordination, or a related environment.

  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

  • Compassionate and professional manner when interacting with clients, families, caregivers, and community partners.

  • Strong organization, documentation, and follow-up skills.
