The Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) is dedicated to help children and their families by providing the right services and solutions based on individual needs. CFCE is constantly evolving to better support our community.
The Psychiatrist at the Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults receiving services within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Psychiatrist collaborates with physicians, psychologists, social workers, case managers, and primary care providers to deliver integrated, patient-centered behavioral health care.
Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments, developing treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring medications, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable clinical and regulatory standards.

Some of the Functions Include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic interviews, mental status examinations, and risk assessments.
- Diagnose and treat psychiatric disorders in children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based practices.
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychopharmacological interventions.
- Provide crisis assessment and intervention as clinically indicated.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, psychologists, LCSWs, case managers, and primary care providers, to coordinate integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support clinical program development.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Active Florida medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Current DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- Experience in child, adolescent, and/or adult psychiatry preferred.
Skills Needed
- Expertise in psychiatric diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, integrated healthcare team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Experience providing trauma-informed, culturally competent, and family-centered care.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
- Commitment to serving diverse and underserved populations.
