About the Role

Datamax of Arkansas is seeking a Delivery Driver for our Central Arkansas region. The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery, installation, and setup of office equipment at customer locations. This role ensures customer satisfaction by properly handling equipment, maintaining clear communication with customers and internal teams, and completing all required documentation accurately. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, safety-minded, and capable of handling physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

Equipment Delivery & Installation (70%)

  • Load, transport, deliver, and install office equipment, including copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Ensure all equipment is delivered without damage and installed correctly.
  • Secure equipment during transport using appropriate covering and strapping methods.
  • Verify customer satisfaction before departing each location.
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers at all times.

Equipment Return & Warehouse Support (10%)

  • Unload used equipment at the warehouse at the end of each day.
  • Properly stage returned equipment and complete all required documentation.

Administrative Documentation (10%)

  • Complete delivery paperwork accurately after each delivery.
  • Submit required documentation to the administrative team for database updates and recordkeeping.

Warehouse & Shop Assistance (5%)

  • Assist with unboxing new equipment.
  • Break down packaging materials and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Support warehouse operations as needed.

Vehicle Maintenance & General Support (5%)

  • Conduct routine inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery trucks.
  • Assist with miscellaneous in-house duties as workload permits.

Communication & Customer Service

  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding delivery schedules and expected arrival times.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Connect Team, warehouse personnel, and installation staff throughout the day.
  • Communicate effectively using mobile phones, text messaging, email, and other web-based applications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience handling and installing office equipment or similar products with a customer-focused attitude
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency to use mobile devices, email, texting, and other communication tools
  • Ability to:
    • frequently lift, carry, push, and move equipment weighing 50–100 pounds
    • load and unload heavy, fragile equipment safely
    • work in varying weather conditions and navigate stairs, tight spaces, and customer facilities

Work Environment

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Based in Little Rock, AR, covering Central Arkansas territory
  • Regular travel to customer locations throughout the day.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Work may involve traffic delays, challenging delivery environments, and occasional overtime.
  • Requires flexibility and creativity when maneuvering equipment into buildings and designated installation areas.
