Senior Fullstack Engineer, Collaboration

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer, Collaboration based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to build the next generation of collaborative creative workflows for distributed teams.
You will own critical product experiences that enable multiple users to work together seamlessly in real time.
The position combines frontend craftsmanship, backend architecture, and complex systems thinking.
You will design and deliver collaboration features that improve how teams create, review, and publish content together.
Working closely with product and design teams, you will shape intuitive experiences while solving challenging technical problems.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an engineer who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and building scalable products from the ground up.

Accountabilities:

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer focused on collaboration experiences, you will own the development and evolution of features that enable efficient teamwork across creative workflows. You will work across the stack to build reliable systems, contribute to technical decisions, and help establish engineering best practices.

  • Build and evolve real-time collaboration features, including co-editing, presence indicators, commenting systems, approval workflows, and shared workspaces.
  • Design and develop intuitive user interfaces that make complex multi-user workflows simple and seamless.
  • Build backend APIs and services supporting collaboration capabilities such as real-time synchronization, permissions, and notifications.
  • Create integrations between collaboration features and other product areas, including editing, asset management, and publishing workflows.
  • Solve challenges related to concurrent users, conflict resolution, asynchronous communication, and large-scale collaboration scenarios.
  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions and improve the scalability and maintainability of the codebase.
  • Write high-quality, tested, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews and technical discussions.
  • Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced fullstack engineer with strong product development skills and a passion for creating polished, scalable user experiences. You should be comfortable working across frontend and backend systems while taking ownership of features from concept through production.

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of delivering products across the full stack.
  • Advanced TypeScript experience across frontend and backend development, including Node.js.
  • Experience building complex, stateful applications and user-facing product features.
  • Familiarity with Angular is a plus but not required.
  • Experience developing collaboration tools, real-time systems, shared workspaces, or multi-user workflows is highly valued.
  • Understanding of challenges related to real-time updates, presence systems, permissions, and conflict management.
  • Ability to work closely with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive projects from design through production.
  • Commitment to engineering craftsmanship, clean code, and continuous learning.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining responsibility for code quality and outcomes.
