About Wellity Health

Welcome to Wellity Health where we are committed to achieving true equity in mental health. We aim to provide equitable and accessible care to individuals from all backgrounds and we are committed to reducing mental health symptom severity, reducing and/or eliminating the need for utilization of higher levels of care, and foster lasting positive outcomes for our adolescent consumers and their loved ones in our intensive outpatient setting.

About the Role

Are you a resourceful HR professional with a few years under your belt, looking for a role where you can truly own your success? We are looking for a remote (living/working in California, Nevada, or New Mexico only), full time HR Generalist who thrives in a diversified, dynamic environment.

This isn't a role where you'll just be handed a checklist. We value a healthy balance of independent problem-solving and collaboration.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has broad, hands-on experience across the entire HR lifecycle (Onboarding, Benefits, Compliance, Recruiting) and is still eager to grow and excel in a core Generalist capacity.

What You’ll Do

As our HR Generalist, your days will be varied and impactful. In partnership with our Director of Human Resources, the core responsibilities of this role include:

  • System Optimization (Rippling): Partner with leadership to master and optimize our Rippling backend for maximum efficiency.
  • Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: During high-growth periods, recruiting can make up to 70% of this role. You will post jobs, manage Indeed/referral sources, conduct initial phone screenings, schedule interviews, and ensure a stellar candidate experience.
  • Benefits & Open Enrollment (OE): Own the OE setup in Rippling with meticulous attention to detail. Work directly with our broker team to process, review, and finalize year-end changes to ensure a seamless transition into the new year.
  • Compliance & Year-End Operations: Lead end-of-year and beginning-of-year compliance processes independently. You'll also review monthly benefits invoices to initiate the accounting reconciliation, update the employee handbook, and refresh our safety plan.
  • Core HR Operations: Manage documentation, track LOAs, coordinate onboarding/offboarding, and handle HR introductions for new hires.
  • Vendor Management: Help monitor and maintain relationships with our 401(k) and Workers’ Comp vendors.
  • Culture & Connection: Brainstorm and execute creative initiatives to foster wellness, wellbeing, and authentic connection among our remote and in-office teams.
  • Potential future growth into helping with payroll processing.
  • This is a new position so it will change and evolve as the company grows.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience:
    • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with a solid foundational understanding of HR compliance, benefits administration, and full-cycle recruiting.
    • Solid understanding of California wage and hour laws and best practices
    • HRCI or SPHR certification a plus
  • Tech Savvy: Prior experience with Rippling (or a similar modern HRIS) is highly preferred. You should be comfortable navigating systems and looking for ways to automate or streamline workflows.
  • The Right Mindset: You are early enough in your career to love the day-to-day variety of a Generalist role, but experienced enough to be trusted alone at the wheel when needed.
  • Experience with California and Federal wage & hour laws
  • Your Core Traits:
    • Curiosity & Learning: You want to know the "why" behind the "what."
    • Adaptability: You can pivot quickly from a deep-dive compliance review to an enthusiastic candidate screening call.
    • Motivation & Ownership: You drive your own success and take pride in high-quality execution.
    • Teamwork: You communicate proactively and collaborate seamlessly across distances.

While this is a full-time, remote position; candidates must live/work in California, Nevada, or New Mexico.

We only accept applications from direct candidates; no third party recruiters.

The pay range for this role is:
30 - 35 USD per hour(Remote (California based))
