Job Description

Job Summary/Objective:
The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) works closely with physicians and clinical managers, acting as a liaison between the human resources department and the organization. The HRBP will manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits and payroll support, while providing day-to-day employee relations support.

Essential Job Functions

  • Acts as a strategic partner to physicians and clinical managers to translate business goals into actionable workforce strategies.
  • Coaches clinical leaders on effective team communication, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Mediates and resolves complex employee relations issues fairly, consistently, and confidentially across clinical and administrative staff. Investigates compliance hotline complaints.
  • Collaborates with talent acquisition to ensure successful recruitment, onboarding, and retention of physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and staff.
  • Acts as a Culture Champion of the E5 culture program. Promotes a positive work culture and builds engagement throughout all offices. Works with managers to promote employee relations activities for all locations.
  • Assists with the Recruitment selection process for various roles in coordination with Hiring Managers, assuring compliance with governmental rules and regulations, as well as Elevate policies and procedures.
  • Along with HR team, communicates all necessary information to new hires regarding their salaries, benefits, payroll policies and procedures, career opportunities and any additional fringe benefits the company is offering.
  • Manages the onboarding process. Coordinates the New Employee Orientation (NEO).
  • Coordinates payroll updates with the Payroll department.
  • Constructs positive communications for dissemination to Physicians and Team Members.
  • Advises and or/ assists in conducting investigation of Workers’ compensation claims, including interviewing of witnesses and procurement of relevant documentation.
  • Interprets and explains Human Resources rules and regulations for Managers, Team Members and applicants.
  • Protects the interests of the company and the employees in accordance with company Human Resources policies and adheres to all federal, state, and local employment laws.

This role has no supervisory responsibility at this time.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This is a hybrid role that works from the office 2-3 times per week.

Travel
Some travel is expected for this position, however due to department needs this can vary.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree obtained through a formal four-year program-related field.
  2. At least five years of related experience in HR management or employee relations.
  3. Healthcare industry experience a plus.
  4. Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  5. Proven experience in conducting investigations and documenting findings.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Education and Experience

SPHR, SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
