Position Purpose:

Immediate opening for Warehouse Associate / Delivery Support in Stamford– weekly pay, full benefits, and consistent hours. Join a fast-paced distribution team with growth opportunities.

Responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and inventory management, while providing delivery support as needed. This position is primarily warehouse-focused but may provide backup delivery support as business needs require. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficient branch operations, ensuring accurate order processing, and delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will adhere to all company safety standards and contribute to a clean, organized, and productive work environment. This is a full-time position based at our Stamford, CT branch, located at 92 Research Drive.

Essential Functions:

  • Safely load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Follow company regulations, safety standards, and applicable driving requirements.
  • Operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Interact with customers on a daily basis.
  • Separate transfers and load them onto respective trucks.
  • Determine best shipping methods for products according to company policy.
  • Locate transfers to complete orders and place them on corresponding trucks.
  • Ensure that products and orders are loaded accurately and placed on the correct trucks for delivery.
  • Use basic computer and math skills to determine shipping locations and quantities.
  • Receive shipments, verify products against packing slips, and complete corresponding paperwork.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing products to ensure they are free of damage.
  • Handle returns of unsatisfactory shipments and coordinate replacements when necessary.
  • Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated locations.
  • Put product away in correct warehouse locations using a barcode reader.
  • Assist with local deliveries and transportation of customer orders as needed using a company vehicle.
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections before and after deliveries when assigned driving responsibilities.
  • Manage time effectively to complete daily workload.
  • Read and decipher packing slips, computer screens, and barcode readers.
  • Practice teamwork to best serve internal and external customers.
  • Remain up-to-date on all safety practices and standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
  • Serve as a backup driver when needed to support branch operations and customer delivery requirements.
  • Load, transport, and unload products at customer locations using a company vehicle while maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries and transfers while adhering to all company safety standards.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

Experience, Education & Skills:

  • Warehouse experience preferred
  • Valid drivers license and DOT med card required
  • Ability to operate motor vehicle, forklift, barcode reader, currently used hardware and software
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Very heavy work. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
