SAP MM Consultant in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP MM Consultant based in India.

This role is focused on designing, configuring, and delivering end-to-end SAP Materials Management solutions that support efficient procurement and supply chain operations. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate supply chain requirements into scalable SAP configurations, ensuring optimized inventory, purchasing, and procurement processes. The role requires strong functional expertise across SAP MM processes, with a focus on delivering high-quality implementations and system enhancements. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules such as FI/CO, PP, and SD, enabling end-to-end process continuity. This position involves working across multiple phases of SAP project delivery, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, and deployment. You will also contribute to post-go-live support and user enablement activities. The environment is collaborative, process-driven, and centered on delivering business value through SAP best practices.

• Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP MM functional specifications and solution designs.
• Design and configure SAP MM modules including purchasing (MM-PUR), inventory management (MM-IM), valuation, account assignment, and invoice verification (MM-IV).
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP MM and other modules such as FI/CO, PP, and SD.
• Lead testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support data migration activities using tools such as LSMW or SAP Migration Cockpit (LTMC).
• Provide post-go-live support, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex system issues.
• Conduct end-user training sessions and support change management and adoption activities.
• Contribute to documentation, process improvements, and implementation of SAP best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience as an SAP MM Functional Consultant with exposure to at least 1–2 end-to-end implementation cycles.
• Strong expertise in Procure-to-Pay (PTP) processes including PR, PO, RFQ, and contract management.
• Deep knowledge of SAP MM master data such as material master, vendor master (Business Partner in S/4HANA), and purchasing info records.
• Hands-on experience with inventory management, goods movements, valuation, and special procurement processes.
• Strong understanding of FI-MM integration, including account determination and OBYC configuration.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement environments is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with data migration tools (LSMW, LTMC), basic debugging, and SAP reporting tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders.
• SAP certification in S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement is a strong advantage.
