As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and drive the development of scalable data solutions that support critical business capabilities. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to define technical strategies, improve platform capabilities, and deliver impactful solutions.
- Lead the technical direction for complex software solutions, partnering with product teams and engineering stakeholders to align architecture with business goals.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data systems, including ingestion pipelines, data services, analytics infrastructure, and platform tooling.
- Develop frameworks that enable high-performance processing and distribution of financial data while supporting AI-powered product initiatives.
- Drive architectural discussions, evaluate technology decisions, and provide strategic guidance across engineering teams.
- Build reliable systems using modern technologies such as Python, PySpark, Java, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver customer-focused outcomes and solve complex engineering challenges.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with a strong background in distributed systems, data platforms, and technical leadership. You should have a passion for solving complex problems, influencing engineering decisions, and building scalable solutions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
- Experience designing distributed systems, microservices architectures, and messaging-based solutions.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as Python, PySpark, or Java.
- Experience working with relational databases, SQL, NoSQL systems, OLAP technologies, and/or modern data lake architectures.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.
- Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, and scalable engineering practices.
- Knowledge of financial concepts, investment data, or fintech environments is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
