This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer, Quality Engineering based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build the quality infrastructure that enables teams to deliver reliable software at high speed.
You will go beyond traditional testing by developing automation frameworks, intelligent testing systems, and scalable engineering solutions.
Working at the intersection of quality, product, and platform engineering, you will help teams ship confidently while maintaining exceptional standards.

Accountabilities:

As a Software Engineer, Quality Engineering, you will design and build the systems, frameworks, and tools that allow engineering teams to move quickly while maintaining product quality. You will combine software engineering expertise with quality practices to create scalable solutions that improve testing, reliability, and delivery.

  • Build and maintain automated testing frameworks for mobile applications and backend systems at scale.
  • Design and develop intelligent testing workflows and tooling that support faster, more reliable software delivery.
  • Create automation infrastructure and quality solutions that integrate seamlessly into engineering processes.
  • Partner with feature development and platform engineering teams to improve testing practices and enable confident releases.
  • Analyze systems deeply to understand technical behavior, identify risks, and develop effective quality strategies.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvements across development workflows.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, accelerate problem-solving, and enhance engineering output.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a software engineer with strong experience in quality engineering, automation, and modern development practices. You should have a builder mindset, enjoy working on complex systems, and be comfortable creating solutions from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.

  • 3–8 years of professional engineering experience focused on quality engineering, software development in test (SDET), or automation engineering.
  • Strong engineering foundation with expertise in building quality systems, rather than only creating test scripts.
  • Deep understanding of software systems, architectures, and how applications function internally.
  • Experience designing and developing test frameworks or automation infrastructure from scratch.
  • Strong programming skills and familiarity with modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience working with automated testing approaches across backend, mobile, or web applications.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or similar technologies to improve productivity.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and proactively solve problems.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, microservices, Kubernetes, AWS, React Native, iOS, Android, or similar modern stacks is a plus.
