About the FacilityIsuzu North America Corporation is investing approximately $280 million to build a new manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.
The 1-million-square-foot, state-of-the-art production plant, located on more than 200 acres, will feature a flexible manufacturing line capable of producing both internal combustion and electric vehicles.

The Technician, Utilities is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of facility utility systems including compressed air, water, gas, and related plant services. This role ensures utilities operate safely and efficiently to support production and facility needs, while also contributing to general maintenance activities as assigned. The technician performs preventive maintenance, supports emergency repairs, and works closely with the facilities, engineering, and production teams to sustain continuous operations.
Responsibilities- Monitors, maintains, and repairs utility systems such as air compressors, boilers, water lines, gas piping, and pumps
- Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics on utility infrastructure
- Assists in the installation and commissioning of utility-related equipment and plant systems
- Reads and interprets schematics, piping diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repairs
- Maintains accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and service activities in CMMS
- Responds to utility-related issues or emergencies that impact plant safety or production
- Supports general facility maintenance tasks as needed, including basic plumbing or mechanical work
- Follows safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), hot work, confined space entry, and PPE compliance
- Works collaboratively with engineering, production, and outside contractors on utility upgrades or modifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical certification or trade school training in mechanical systems, HVAC, or industrial maintenance preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facility utilities or industrial maintenance
- Familiarity with compressed air systems, fuel skids, water treatment, pumps, and related infrastructure
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking and scheduling
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair utility-related mechanical and control systems
- Skilled in reading piping schematics, technical drawings, and manuals
- Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA, EPA, and LOTO procedures
- Competency in using tools, meters, and maintenance equipment
- Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
- Effective communication and ability to work independently or on a team
