What Role Will You Play on the Team
The Production Operator’s job is to perform the operation of the Blenders in a Chemical Manufacturing environment. This is an entry level position that will operate blending machines that blend powders. This is a role that can be very dirty and requires extensive PPE. This role will operate our basic blending operator unit. Motivated employees that can learn will progress into larger roles in the growing Operations Department.
What Will You Do
· Always ensure full compliance with Oxerra and local site EHS and Business Conduct Policies, Guidelines and Rules.
· Ensure that operating discipline principles, procedures, and practices are followed, to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
· Operate and field check process equipment.
· Monitor process conditions, equipment, and control systems.
· Perform tasks assigned to operations as per a standard task list including field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.
· Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process related deviations and problems.
· Initiate and participate in root cause investigations as required.
· Perform crisis response activities.
· Use process knowledge and skill to make improvements in plant performance and operating discipline.
· Use measurements and tools in the plant to run at optimum conditions.
· Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines.
· Manage multiple and complex plant computer control systems.
Complete process data recording including raw material and finished goods inventories, in an accurate, timely and legible manner.

· Ability to speak, write, and read English preferably.

· Have good technical skills to learn how to operate both manual and highly automated equipment.
· Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED required.
· 2 years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.
· Previous experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment is preferred.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
· Ability to perform all job functions safely and successfully.
· Frequent pushing and pulling.
· Ability to lift 50lbs.
· Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting.
· Frequent forklift truck driving.
· Stand and walk for extending periods of time.
· Work at heights, climb stairs, and ladders.
· Work in tight and closed spaces.
· Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a respirator.
· Work in an area with non-hazardous and hazardous materials.
· Work in areas that are dusty.
