Field CTO in West Lake, Ohio at People Driven Technology Inc
Job Description
People Driven Technology, Inc. is a family-owned technology Integrator focused on simple, scalable business and technical outcomes for our clients. We bring together decades of business, technology, and engineering experience to deliver those outcomes methodically. We measure success by the collective success of our customers, not simply by revenue, and believe integrity, passion, and teamwork are the foundation of strong relationships. When we engage, we’re all in for the people and organizations we serve.
As our Field Chief Technology Officer, you’ll help customers connect their most important business goals to the technology decisions that can move them forward. You’ll build trusted relationships with senior leaders, bring clarity to complex challenges, and work alongside our sales, architecture, engineering, and delivery teams to shape thoughtful solutions. This is an influential, customer facing role for a technology leader who enjoys advising executives, sharing a point of view, and helping customers plan what’s next.
What You Would Do
- Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, including CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, COOs, and boards, and serve as a strategic technology advisor throughout the customer relationship.
- Lead executive briefings, planning sessions, workshops, and roadmap discussions that connect technology choices to customer business objectives.
- Listen for the business challenge behind the technology request; assess needs and recommend strategic approaches that support the customer’s goals.
- Partner with account teams to identify and advance strategic opportunities, contribute to account plans, and guide executive level conversations during pursuits.
- Help customers evaluate business requirements and explore solutions across areas such as cloud, cybersecurity, networking, infrastructure, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, and modern workplace technologies.
- Represent People Driven Technology at customer meetings, partner engagements, conferences, and industry events; present on relevant technology trends and emerging developments.
- Contribute insight and thought leadership that strengthens our brand, market credibility, and understanding of customer and industry priorities.
- Collaborate with sales, architecture, engineering, service delivery, and company leadership; share customer and market intelligence to inform strategy.
- Mentor teammates and share knowledge while maintaining clear records of customer activity, strategic opportunities, and executive engagements.
- Travel regularly to customer sites, company offices, conferences, and industry events; occasional evening or extended hours may be needed to support business needs.
What We Are Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in technology leadership, consulting, enterprise architecture, executive advisory services, or a related field.
- Experience working with executive and senior business leaders and developing technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, relevant guidance for business audiences.
- Strong business and financial acumen, consultative relationship skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Confident presentation and public speaking skills, sound strategic judgment, and strong written and verbal communication.
- A collaborative, organized approach to balancing multiple priorities and partnering across teams.
Experience that would be a plus: A master’s degree in business administration, information technology, engineering, or a related field; prior experience as a CIO, CTO, Field CTO, Enterprise Architect, or similar technology leader; experience in technology services, consulting, managed services, or a solutions provider; or certifications relevant to cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, or technology leadership.
What We Would Offer You
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents.
- 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, Health Savings Account, life insurance, and long-term disability.
- Competitive compensation.
- A collaborative and welcoming office culture.
- Work life balance and unlimited paid time off.
