What You Need

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus

• Previous experience in kitting, material handling, warehouse, or production support within a manufacturing environment

• Experience working in a metal fabrication or welding environment is preferred

• Ability to read work orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and production documentation

• Experience using ERP or inventory management systems and RF scanners is preferred

• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification within the first 30 days

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely operate material handling equipment

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles is a plus

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

What Your Role Will Look Like

• Pull, organize, and assemble parts and materials into production kits based on Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production schedules

• Stage completed kits for the welding department to ensure production stays on schedule

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport materials throughout the facility

• Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the ERP system

• Verify part counts, kit accuracy, and documentation while resolving discrepancies as needed

• Work closely with Production, Inventory, and Engineering teams to support manufacturing operations

• Help maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Support production goals by ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed
