  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Radiologic Technologist I (Rad Tech I) is an entry-level imaging professional responsible for performing routine diagnostic radiographic procedures under established protocols and supervision. Provides safe, high-quality imaging services as ordered by physician while ensuring patient comfort, maintaining radiation safety standards, and supporting departmental operations. Collaborates with other healthcare providers to evaluate the outcomes of patient care. Shall function independently in one (1) imaging modality.

  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education:
      • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
    • Certifications/Licenses:
        • Current ARRT Certification in Radiography (R.T. (R))
        • Current Wyoming State Board of Radiologic Technologists license.
        • BLS certification

    • Job Knowledge and Skills:
        • Entry-level position; clinical training experience acceptable.
        • Prior healthcare or imaging experience preferred but not required.
        • Knowledge of radiographic procedures, anatomy, and positioning.
        • Understanding of radiation safety and infection control practices
        • Ability to lift, move, and position patients.
        • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.
        • Able to integrate scientific knowledge, technical competence and patient interaction skills to provide safe and accurate procedure with compassion.
        • Recognizes patient conditions essential for the successful completion of the procedure.
        • Must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, human physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
        • Must possess, use and maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety.
        • Display knowledge of O2 tanks, suction, IV pumps, and heart monitors.
          • Knows when to call for nursing support.
          • Knows the location of the crash cart.
        • Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek assistance.
        • Strong patient care and communication skills.
        • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
        • Proficiency with EMR, RIS, and PACS systems.
        • Professional demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care.
